Segunda-feira, dia 25, realizou-se a 66ª cerimónia dos Emmy. Este evento premiou as melhores séries, programas e filmes televisivos da temporada 2013/2014. A grande vencedora da noite foi a série Breaking Bad seguida da Modern Family e Sherlock.
Breaking Bad arrecadou quase todas as categorias, inclusive a de Melhor Série Dramática. A grande vitória da série contrariou as as previsões de que True Detective iria ser a vencedora da noite.
A série britânica criada por Steven Moffat e Mark Gatiss, Sherlock, venceu três Emmys. No género comédia, Modern Family, foi a série de destaque.
